Matei Dima studied in the United States at the Theater Department with specializations in acting and directing at a private university in Iowa. After performing in several plays, directing, and doing stand-up comedy, he earned a scholarship to the New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles branch, where he obtained a master’s degree in directing.

In Romania, he began his career on social media and later gained recognition both in front of and behind the screens. He made his cinematic debut as both an actor and director in the feature film “5GANG: Un altfel de Crăciun,” followed by the blockbuster “Miami Bici.”

Subsequently, Matei Dima took on other leading roles in films such as “Teambuilding,” “Haita de Acțiune,” and “Miami Bici 2,” all while continuing his work as a director and producer for films like “Romina,” “VTM,” and the latest film from Vidra Productions, “Tati Part Time,” which is set to premiere on January 2nd.
