Born in Romania and raised in Toronto, Alina worked in dentistry for 12 years before her passion for baking led her to compete on The Great Canadian Baking Show, on CBC and Netflix Canada. Alina has been a recipe contributor for Canadian Living magazine and held a Canada-wide monthly baking column with Postmedia. After the Baking Show, she moved to Paris, France where she studied at the world-renowned culinary institute Le Cordon Bleu Paris, obtaining her Diplome de Patisserie. Upon becoming a Pastry Chef, Alina appeared on the biggest Romanian culinary show “Chefi la Cutite” where her dish earned her 4 knives and was proclaimed “worthy of a Michelin star”. She also appeared on numerous Canadian and International shows such as Global News, CP24, “La Maruta” and more.
